THE SOLUTION FOR POWER COMPANIES AND TRANSMISSION NETWORKS

4 in 1: earth resistance and coupling, continuity and resistivity

Ergonomic, comprehensive and accurate, this instrument offers direct access to all the measurements via a rotary switch on the front panel. Compact and designed for use in the field, the C.A 6470N is rugged and leakproof. To simplify the connections, the 4 terminals for connection to the stakes are colour-coded. The C.A 6470N includes a large backlit LCD screen and a rechargeable battery with an external charger for connection to the mains supply or to a vehicle cigarette lighter.
It is equipped with a function for direct, ordered storage of the measurement results. A USB communication output allows the data to be exported onto a PC with the Ground Tester Transfer software for further processing.

Performance:
The C.A 6470N offers approximately 10 times greater accuracy due to its 4-pole measurement method. This method allows low earth resistance measurements which are essential to meet the requirements of power distribution and transmission companies.

The C.A 6470N guarantees reliable measurements:
* through the use of traditional stake-based methods
* by self-diagnosis before starting each measurement in order to detect any faults liable to
cause measurement errors (incorrect connections or presence of disturbance signals)
* by offering extensive measurement ranges: 0.001 W to 100 kW
* by adjustment of the measurement frequency between 41 Hz and 512 Hz

There are also high-level and expert calculation functions:
* for earth coupling measurement, simply perform the 3 successive measurements required and
leave the tester to calculate the coupling coefficient automatically
* when measuring soil resistivity, programming of the distances used for the measurement
makes it possible to calculate r automatically by the Wenner or Schlumberger methods
